Snow Bound

We headed up to Tahoe for a few fun days in the snow. It snowed every day and it was a winter wonderland. We spent the mornings doing a short hike with the dogs and in the afternoon we took them cross country skiing. They love the snow! I called Remo the powder dog. Turbie did a helicopter our 2nd day out and ended up hurting her tail. She still had a good time, but her tail wasn't spinning in circles like it usually does. It certainly didn't help matters when Remo kept grabbing her tail and tackling her. Luckily, we all made it back in one piece. Last night when we left, it was a beautiful full moon.

Looking forward to another trip in the snow.

Christmas in Mill Valley

After a nice morning around the Christmas tree, we loaded up the dogs and headed out for a hike and to the beach. It was a pleasant 60 degrees and blue skies. We met our friends Kevin and Michelle and their dog Boon (Turbie's boyfriend).
Boon couldn't wait to get the hike over and hit the beach. It's really paradise where we live, to think this is right out our back door is amazing.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas - xxoo cm.

Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday Remo

Merry Christmas Everyone!

It's also Remo's birthday today and he's 1 year old. He was looking very handsome this morning.

We started off the morning with our stocking stuffers. Turbie & Remo got a lot of cool toys and doggie treats. They couldn't decided which toy to play with first. Turbie already pulled the nose off her snowman...she's a bad girl.

Stay tuned for our outdoor adventures later today. cm.

Bootjack

Today we went up to Pantoll and started our hike out of Bootjack, Theater trail, Rock Springs, West Point Inn, Nora, and then to the Matt Davis trail (2 hr loop). After a few rainfalls, these are fun trails to hike on. You cross several little waterfalls and all of the streams are flowing. During the summer it can be pretty dry and hot on these trails, but not today. Lot's of good things to sniff!

One Expensive TURD!

I spent the last few days in and out of the vet clinic. In total Remo spent 36 hours in the clinic with an IV in his leg. He had a really bad case of food poisoning. He was vomiting, diarrhea, lethargic, and his stomach was sore to the touch. After xrays, blood panels, stool sample, and ultra sound, they determine he had a bad case of gastroenteritis. We think he may have nibbled on a bad turd that he found on the trail or may have digested some bad water at the marshlands. Needless to say he's on medication and a special diet of rice, chicken, and cottage cheese. We were so happy to get him back home today and he even managed a little tail wag. The technicians at the clinic, put this cute little scarf around his neck. I think he looks like a boy scout. Hopefully, he'll be back on the trails in a few days.
