Snow Bound

We headed up to Tahoe for a few fun days in the snow. It snowed every day and it was a winter wonderland. We spent the mornings doing a short hike with the dogs and in the afternoon we took them cross country skiing. They love the snow! I called Remo the powder dog. Turbie did a helicopter our 2nd day out and ended up hurting her tail. She still had a good time, but her tail wasn't spinning in circles like it usually does. It certainly didn't help matters when Remo kept grabbing her tail and tackling her. Luckily, we all made it back in one piece. Last night when we left, it was a beautiful full moon.

Looking forward to another trip in the snow.

  1. Cindy,
Looks like a great time. I'll have to try X-country with the dogs before the winter snows leave. Any places you'd recommend for a beginner to go with my dogs?
The picture of the full moon over the lake is fantastic.

  2. Rod,

    Happy New Year!

We went to Tahoe Cross Country, because they are one of the few places that allow dogs. On the weekends, you are allowed on the trails from 3pm-5pm and during the week any time. It was a lot of fun and we saw a couple other Vizzie's out there. The trails are well suited for beginners and if you aren't into skiing you could also go snow shoeing.

I hope we can go up there again in a few weeks.

    Take care, cm.
